Onirix & Visualit launch the first Multi-Device Immersive Website

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, innovation is key to transforming how we interact with technology. Onirix and Visualit have partnered to create a groundbreaking experience for Inquieto, a leader in sustainable logistics services. Together, they have developed the first multi-device immersive website, seamlessly adapted for mixed reality headsets like the Meta Quest 3.

Pioneering AR Experience

Inquieto aimed to provide users with a unique opportunity to explore their fleet of electric vehicles in an immersive setting. Visualit, their digital agency and eCommerce expert, sought to leverage Augmented Reality (AR) across mobile devices and mixed reality headsets. Thanks to Onirix’s advanced AR capabilities, this vision has become a reality without the need to create separate projects for each use case.

The new website is designed to deliver an adaptable experience across all devices, including mobile, tablet, and sophisticated AR headsets like the Meta Quest 3. Users can interact with Inquieto’s vehicles through selection, surface placement, and advanced interactions directly from any browser. This includes:

  • 3D interaction via desktop and touchscreen for events
  • Augmented Reality through smartphones and tablets
  • Mixed Reality through headsets

Interaction at Its Best

Without needing a specific website for each device, the platform automatically detects whether the user is accessing from a computer, mobile, or headset and adapts the interface accordingly.

For instance, when using the Meta Quest 3:

  • The user accesses the standard website through the headset’s native browser.
  • The site detects the headset and offers a navigation system that utilizes all the advantages of mixed reality.
  • The traditional screen view disappears, and users see selectable cards floating in their living room, launching a real-time 3D model of the selected vehicle within seconds.
  • Users can then resize the vehicle, toggle its main features, and navigate between other vehicles.

Meanwhile, accessing from a mobile or tablet reveals a new “View in AR” button on available vehicles. This feature opens the device’s camera, allowing users to place the vehicle on any surface.

The First Step into the Future

At Onirix, we believe the future is multi-device, and every company should maximize the potential of each device without incurring additional costs to tailor AR experiences to different limitations or capabilities.

Our Online Studio empowers users to create augmented reality experiences with a low-code approach. It supports easy file imports, drag-and-drop functionality, and the addition of interactive events with just a click. The end result is accessible via a URL, QR code, or embed code for existing websites.

Not only does this enhance the user experience, but it also positively impacts business outcomes. Companies can access comprehensive analytics for each experience, gaining insights into visit volumes, device usage, and more. This data-driven approach allows businesses to refine their strategies and optimize user engagement.

Looking ahead, we will enhance the compatibility of our technology with various headsets, making it easier for our clients to embrace this exciting future by expanding both features and compatible devices. Stay tuned—there’s much more to come!
